At the Beach

Yesterday (1/26/12) we spent the morning at Temple Beach. This was not Reagan's first time at the beach but it was the first time we remembered the camera.

I took out the skimboard and tried it out. I did very well and Ryan was quite impressed.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Farewell Lucky Rabbits

Since I live in the vicinity of many Chinese I have a lot of exposure to the Chinese New Year and the Chinese Zodiac. 2011 was my year, the Year of the Rabbit (or hare). A lot happened last year but a lot also stayed the same. Of course the best surprise was welcoming our own little bunny rabbit - Reagan Elisabeth.

So a quick shout out to all the lucky rabbits in our family: I hope 2011 was everything you hoped it would be and we'll see you back in 2023!
Our lucky rabbits:

And the "bunnies"...

Tyree, Gage, and Reagan

And to our Lucky Dragon - Happy New Year! 2012 is your year, I hope you make the most of it!

Aloha Florida!

Victory! This is actually the only picture I have of the Ragnar. From left to right: Cali, me, Mike, Mason, Barry.

Main Street in Magic Kingdom

Prince Adam's castle (it's under construction).

So is Prince Eric's castle.

First we went to Animal Kingdom. On Monday the Magic Kingdom was pretty crowded but the parks were fairly empty on Tuesday. We were able to walk on to every ride. At animal kingdom we did Expedition Everest, Finding Nemo: The Musical, and Kilimanjaro Safari.

Next we went to Epcot to eat at one of Ryan's favorite restaurants, Biergarten. It's located in Germany in the World Showcase.

I saw Mulan in China...

And Aladdin and Jasmine in Morocco. We took this picture for Mr. Oooooh-Jasmine-is-my-favorite (also known as Cody).

At Hollywood Studios we did a lot. This picture is outside The Great Movie Ride which was really cool! We also did the Hollywood Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster (0-60 in 2.8 seconds!), Muppets 3-D, and the Star Wars ride.

And finally we saw Donald.... back in Hawaii. A friend picked us up from the airport and we stayed at her house. Since she lives just a few blocks from the new Disney Resort, Aulani, we decided to walk down and check it out. It just opened a few months ago. It's fabulous! Since they have a nice kama'aina discount I talked to Ryan about staying there before we move, but they're booked solid for the next six months!

I remember learning about the Everglades in the second grade and I told my mom I wanted to go visit there someday. I still do. But on the bright side, Reagan and Ryan got to go and I know it was also on Ryan's bucket list. Lots of birds, "tuttles", snakes, and alligators.
