Let It Snow!

It's that time of year again when militant atheist heads across the country begin spinning (and in some cases exploding). It seems that every year the outrage gets more intense and the "offenses" get more outrageous. I heard once from an agnostic that Christians try to "hijack" certain symbols to make them associated with Jesus Christ. As far as I'm concerned, Christians have little need of stealing or hijacking anything as long as atheists continue to ascribe seemingly unrelated objects to Christianity.
Objects in recent memory include:
The crèche or nativity. Okay that's obviously Christian.
A fir tree. Fine, it's a stretch but I'll give it to ya.
Colored lights. Say what?
And the new one this year....... snow. Yes you read that right.
I read a piece this morning on the Internet by Derek Powazek of Gizmodo. In his article he asserts that the well known website Flickr is forcing Christianity on its users by decorating their homepage with animated colored lights and "three little snowflakes" that once clicked on release a blizzard of little snowflakes on the screen. Obviously this is more than a good atheist like Powazek can stomach. He also says that Flickr has done Christmassy things in past years as well and gives two examples: a Santa hat and - you guessed it - snow. What is this guy's obsession with snow? And how is it related to Christianity? Is he afraid it's going to melt and he'll be baptized? Or maybe he lives in a warm climate and thinks that snow is a commercial item only available at Christmas time instead of an act of nature.
So by default snow must also represent maternity, patriotism, love, gratitude, and wearing green because, thanks to living in Idaho, I've experienced snow on Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and the 4th of July.
Merry Christmas everyone! And that includes all the grinches out there that want to steal it.
