actually, they will find you for 2 weeks, but you cannot answer any notices or link to your facebook in that two weeks, otherwise it won't delete. after selecting the delete option and complete inactivity for 14 days then it will be permanently deleted. oh and don't use your facebook login on anything, even on an unrelated website if you use your facebook login facebook will be alerted and your cancellation will not go through. these are just some of the hurdles i faced when deleting my account.
